Job Summary:

The Dental Assistant will provide clinical support to dentists and hygienists, assist with patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. This role involves preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have a strong commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures, including the preparation of instruments and materials.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling patient appointments and managing patient records.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering dental supplies as needed.
• Support the front desk with patient check-in and check-out when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program or certification is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role in a dental or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using dental software and office equipment.
